Leap into the World of Journalism

Junior's entry into the realm of journalism unfolded against a backdrop of initial aspirations in the field of law. Initially drawn to the prospect of delving into the intricacies of legal frameworks, particularly in the criminal domain, he envisioned a future where a legal education might complement a potential path toward public service exams. However, fate intervened when he discovered that the law class had already closed its doors, closing off that avenue.

Undeterred by this twist of fate, Junior found himself at a crossroads. Many individuals, both young and seasoned, opt for a legal education due to its expansive range of applications – criminal, labor, family law, among others. The allure of the legal field, with its multifaceted opportunities, often leads individuals into uncharted territories. Despite not knowing the challenges that lay ahead, many embark on this journey, making law a highly coveted course of study.

In the end, Junior made the decisive leap into the field of journalism. His choice was influenced not only by the absence of available legal classes but also by a genuine passion for the dynamic realm of television and storytelling. Unlike the rigid structure of a legal profession confined to desks and courtrooms, journalism promised a career marked by constant movement, discovery, and the opportunity to tell new stories. This shift set the stage for a career that would embrace unpredictability and usher in unforeseen twists and turns.

From the early days at the local TV station, aptly named "Foz TV," Junior's journalistic journey was characterized by a hunger for learning. Despite limited resources, he honed his skills, producing his first reports and voiceovers, gaining insights into the vast landscape of journalism.

There, I crafted my first reports. Recorded my initial voiceovers. Experienced my first shifts. It was a place where imagination began to flow, and with each story, there was an opportunity to create something new.

This initial stint paved the way for opportunities in a video production company and later, a position in an open-air station.

Embracing the Police Beat

It was at this juncture that Junior found himself deeply immersed in the realm of the police. His role at the open-air station brought him face-to-face with the harsh realities of criminal activities - robberies, thefts, and homicides. A significant portion of his reports focused on the police beat, revealing the dichotomy between the forces of law and the world of crime.

A pivotal moment in Junior's journey was marked by a unique report he crafted during his tenure at TV Tarobá. Covering a police confrontation, he introduced a novel element - a parody song that resonated with the public. The lyrics, celebrating the victory of the police over criminals, struck a chord with law-abiding citizens.

"3 bandits went to rob
A residence here on the border
The CHOQUE and ROCAM arrived, "BANG BANG BANG"
And the three bandits are burning in hell!"

The unconventional approach garnered attention, with citizens applauding the celebration of justice. However, it was met with disapproval from fellow journalists, highlighting the often divisive perceptions surrounding law enforcement. The dichotomy between those who supported the celebration of police actions and critics with contradictory ideologies became stark. For Junior, it was a manifestation of justice. He stated, "It's not about rejoicing in the demise of criminals; it's about celebrating the triumph of good over evil. The police's victory signifies a win for the whole society." This report, although controversial, solidified Junior's conviction that he was on the right path.

A Pivotal Career Shift

After nearly two years in the open-air station, Junior felt a calling for change. Discontent with certain aspects of journalistic practices, he made the bold decision to transition. Rather than succumbing to complaints, he opted for action - a decision that would define the trajectory of his career.

Leaving behind the familiar world of journalism, Junior delved into the realm of public service exams, specifically in the area of law enforcement. Balancing his studies with the demands of his role as a journalist, he faced challenges head-on, eventually culminating in success - a position in the Military Police of Paraná.

Police Passion: Junior's Unwavering Dedication to Justice

Junior's affinity for the police and armed forces dates back to childhood, where dreams of becoming a pilot in the Air Force and later, a RONE Police Officer, filled his youthful aspirations. This admiration for those who stand on the frontlines of justice would become a guiding force in his life.

Junior's dedication to justice and his staunch refusal to associate with anything illicit, even in thought, drive his choice of a law enforcement career. To him, the police symbolize the line between good and evil, the bearers of peace in times of chaos. Despite facing criticism, Junior contends that many critics lack the courage to don the uniform and confront the widespread criminality impacting cities, states, and the nation. Serving as protectors, the police become a reliable source for citizens in every moment, acting as moderators of human malevolence. Even before donning the police uniform, Junior held these values close. Being a police is truly extraordinary—a sentiment understood only by those who share it. It transcends salary or status; it's about defeating evil.
